  • Leah Cupino’s paintings are a peek into the generous, scintillating color of her inner landscapes. Each of the glaciers she paints are maps sourced from satellite imagery found in Glacier National Park, USA.

Cupino’s boulders exist as an integral part of that terrain nearby her current home. Prominent players in the setting of enviro-social issues we face right now, they boldly embody the anti-hero: less victim than fabulously charged and ready for the next season.

  • In her free time, Leah joins her husband and three sons in hot spring dips, slow-skis, breath-taking hikes and rafting trips. Her favorite spice is Szhechuan peppercorn, snack is fresh tortilla chips and guac., and she dreams of driving very, very fast one day.

In her recent past Cupino has taught workshops and semester long courses at Carroll College and Helena College in Montana. She has exhibited, curated, and sold her work in settings both domestic and abroad. She has attended residencies at PRPG Gallery, in Mexico City, Mexico, the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, and Virginia Commonwealth University, and obtained a BA of Fine and Commercial Arts from Walla Walla University, WA.

Visit her website at LeahCupino.com for more details.

  • I’m thrilled to be able to put a lot of effort into helping others enjoy the process of absorbing and making art an integral and most valuable part of their lives.
