The Omertà Arts family is committed to fostering a full range of learning opportunities to artists at varying levels of dedicated experience. Based in a cozy town at the foot of the Rocky Mountains in a welcoming small town, we will be your arts family, we can offer you the distinct level of nurturing development that will fit your pace and get you closer to your goals.

Artists dedicated to spending the time to bring their vision to the next level can custom-tailor their experience to include:

You are ready for a mentorship/apprenticeship when:

  • you desire a creative upgrade of your technical skills and clarity of your visual voice

  • are able to devote time to your artistry (4 hrs. /week minimum)

  • you can become part of our arts family:
    we pitch in to a wide range of community efforts, and promote each other

  • some naturally repetitive, laborious tasks specifically designed for learning and advancement

  • personally assigned research into your favorite styles of art, and the work of those in whom you are not interested — because we know what you will gain

  • laughter

  • to learn how to share space with other (sometimes messy and stinky) creatives

  • to learn how to balance the typical Montana hot and cold seasons of produce/reflect and sell/make.

You Can Expect:

  • a mix of traditional mentorship-style interest-based assignments and direction in…

  • the traditional foundation of skill-based approaches and techniques of classical arts education, i.e.:

  • approaches in painting, sculpting and pottery (printmaking coming soon)

  • approaches to defining and creating cohesion of your own visual voice

  • discussion/guidance of the fine and commercial art settings including: promotion, proposals, pricing and written presentations.

  • strategies for reproductions, licensing, protections, and negotiations all catered to the unique stages of your art career.

  • regular access to other art professionals in our area

  • a chance to have your passion, focus and time spent with the professional artists at Omertà Arts well spent.
